Baltimore, MD - Nov. 10, 2025 - The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) will provide free transit rides to U.S. military veterans, active-duty military, and members of the National Guard and Reserves on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
This is the seventh consecutive year the MTA has offered this benefit.
Free rides will be available on Local Bus, Metro Subway, Light Rail, MARC Train, and Mobility services, with the Commuter Bus operating only the 201 bus on an "S" schedule.
"Veterans and service members are an important part of our community," said Maryland Transit Administrator Holly Arnold. "Offering complimentary transit trips is one way we can show our appreciation and make it easier for them to get where they need to go on this special day."
Eligible riders must present a U.S. Department of Defense issued ID, a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs issued ID, or a Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration Veteran designation on a driver's license or state ID.
The MTA encourages riders to use the CharmPass mobile ticketing app for convenient ticketing solutions and the Transit app for real-time schedules and navigation.
