In Just 30 Minutes: Three UAVs From Yemen Intercepted By IAF

Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the area of the southern Negev, a UAV that was launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF.

In addition, another UAV was intercepted, no sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol.

These interceptions follow an additional UAV interception that was carried out earlier today in the Arava area.

On Monday, at just prior to 1:00 p.m., the IDF operated to intercept a UAV from Yemen launched towards Eilat.

Just after 1:00 p.m., the IDF confirmed: "Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the Arava area, a UAV that was launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF. Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol."

At just prior to 1:20 p.m., the IDF issued an initial report, stating, "Sirens regarding a hostile aircraft infiltration were sounded in the area of the southern Negev. The details are under review."

Sirens sounded near the Ramon Airport and along the southern Jordan-Israel border, as well as in the city of Dimona and nearby Qasr a-Sir.

Following the sirens, a rocket fragment was found in the southern city of Eilat. Police officers and sappers cordoned off the scene are determining if it is an interceptor fragment or a UAV fragment.
