Baltimore, MD - Feb. 12, 2024 - (FOX45) Hundreds of thousands of Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerators are being recalled due to an issue with the ice bucket, posing a choking hazard. The recall affects 383,240 units sold in the U.S. and an additional 5,785 units in Canada, sold from Nov. 15, 2023, to Sept. 2019 at various retailers. Electrolux Group, the manufacturer, has received 343 reports of plastic pieces breaking off, resulting in injuries. Consumers are advised to stop using the ice maker and contact Electrolux Group for a replacement ice bucket assembly component.
