Baltimore, MD - Jan. 13, 2024 - Quaker Oats is expanding its recall of cereal and granola-related products due to potential Salmonella contamination, according to FOX45. The recall now includes various "Chewy" granola and cereal items, Cap'n Crunch sugar cereals, cereal bars, oatmeal, and a Gatorade-branded protein bar. The products have "best before" dates ranging from January to October 2024 and are sold nationwide, including Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan. Salmonella can be especially dangerous to children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems, with symptoms including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
