Baltimore, MD - May 15, 2025 - Today marks a remarkable milestone—Bill Goldberg joined Ner Yisrael exactly 40 years ago, on May 15, 1985. Since then, he has faithfully served thousands upon thousands of meals to generations of bachurim, always with a smile, a kind word, and unwavering professionalism.
Bill’s office has become much more than a workspace—it’s a welcoming haven where boys come not only to grab a bite but also to relax, talk, and enjoy a moment of connection. His genuine love for the bachurim is felt deeply, and the feeling is mutual.
We thank Bill for his incredible dedication and wish him many more years of good health, happiness, and continued service to the yeshiva.

A mother’s letter. A child’s fight. Shira urgently needs life-saving care. You can help - but only if we act now.
My name is Bracha, and I’m writing not only as a mother, but as someone who deeply believes in the quiet power of kindness.
My daughter Shira is a bright, tender-hearted little girl. She’s been diagnosed with leukemia — a cancer of the blood. Her eyesight has already been affected, and the emotional toll on our family has been immense.
Shira is currently receiving care in a local hospital in Poland, but doctors have urged us to transfer her to a specialized children's hospital in Vienna. There, she can receive the advanced, life-saving treatment she urgently needs.
The cost of this treatment is over $150,000 — far beyond anything we ...

“With 15 years of data, we can start to see long-term trends in our data,” said Alice Volpitta, the Baltimore Harbor Waterkeeper for Blue Water Baltimore. “This sort of smooths out the year-to-year fluctuations and gives us a better idea of which direction we’re headed — healthier or sicker — regardless of rainfall.

Baltimore, MD - May 15, 2025 - After months of speculation, Maryland officially lost its coveted triple A bond rating after Moody’s downgraded the state’s creditworthiness.
In the latest report, Moody’s assessment of Maryland’s creditworthiness was moved to Aa1, ending more than 30 years of the state holding the highest bond rating.
The triple-A bond rating allows Maryland to pay the lowest rates when it sells bonds to foot the bill for public projects and investments; now however, the rate will be higher, meaning taxpayers will have to shell out more.
The announcement comes on the heels of a tense legislative session where ultimately, Democrats in control of the General Assembly and the governor’s seat, moved to raise $1.6 billion in new tax and fee increa...
