Baltimore, MD – June 17, 2025 – It is June, and instead of being bright and sunny, the weather is rainy and cool. The heavens are pouring. Maybe this is how the skies act in the Diaspora as we watch from afar at what is happening in the Holy Land. The clouds reflect our tears that are streaming from within, and they cry with us from above.
The school year is almost over. It was a strange one. Strange in that I still went about my daily routine and taught my preschool students. Strange that I still go about my life, B”H, almost normally, with errands and exercise and the blessed little things that are really big ones indeed. Strange that I continue to do all this while we are almost two years into the nightmare of October 7th. We take care of our families and friends, mak...

US President Donald Trump stated that America and Israel have control over the skies of Iran in a post on Truth Social today (Tuesday).
"We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured 'stuff.' Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA," Trump wrote.
In a separate post, Trump wrote, "We know exactly where the so-called “'Supreme Leader' is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there - We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this m...
Annapolis, MD - June 17, 2025 - Ed Hale, in July, plans to officially file his candidacy to challenge Wes Moore in next year’s Democratic primary for Maryland Governor. As the Baltimore businessman prepares his campaign, he says his political platform will include improving public education.
Hale, in 1958, was in sixth grade in Baltimore County Public Schools. And one lesson he learned that year was so important, it’s framed on his wall.
“’I wish you would speak to Edwin concerning his behavior in class,’” read Hale from his sixth-grade report card. “‘His behavior has been not good.’”
“The response from my mother,” Hale continued. “‘I'm sure you will see a change in Eddie.’ Punishment ca...

The budget proposal includes a 20% increase in ambulance transport fees, a 50% increase in taxi ride taxes, and a doubling of landfill tipping fees. Despite t...

Paris, France - Le Bourget Airport - June 16, 2025 - Last night, just one day before the Paris Air Show opened in Le Bourget Airport, exhibition organizers acting on behalf of the French government ordered the removal of offensive weapons systems from Israeli defense industry pavilions - breaking with standard practice at defense exhibitions worldwide.
Following instructions from Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD) Director General, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, the Ministry informed organizers that it categorically rejects this demand. The exhibition organizers responded by erecting a black wall that blocks the Israeli pavilions and creates segregation between the Israeli industry pavilions and dozens of other pavilions (Turkish, Chinese, and others). This unilateral action was c...
US President Donald Trump issued an unusual warning on his Truth Social platform on Monday, calling for the evacuation of Tehran.
"Iran should have signed the 'deal' I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!" he wrote.
Trump’s warning came just over an hour after he told reporters at the G7 summit that Iran is back at the negotiating table and will sign an agreement, adding, “They would be foolish not to.”
“I'm in constant touch [with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu], and as I've been saying, I think a deal will be signed, or something will happen, but a deal will be signed, and I think Ir...

Though the mitzvah of kibud av va’eim relates to other people, Hashem included it in the bein adam laMakom section of the Decalogue because the way we relate to our...
