Baltimore, MD - Nov. 18, 2025  - An estimated 1.7 million gallons of untreated sewage flowed into Baltimore's Jones Falls, according to the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE). MDE received a report Thursday morning of an overflow that began around noon Wednesday. Officials say the location of the overflow was the 2200 block of Huntington Avenue. When they arrived, the overflow was ongoing. As a result, the city set up a bypass around the manhole Thursday afternoon to stop the over flow according to Jay Apperson, spokesperson for MDE. At the time of this writing, the cause remains unknown. Most of the sewage was getting into a stormdrain that leads into the Jones Falls. The investigation is ongoing.

Baltimore, MD - Nov. 18, 2025  -  The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is expected to vote on its findings that caused a massive container ship to crash into the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which collapsed and killed six construction workers. The vote on Tuesday comes a day after Maryland officials more than doubled the estimated cost to replace the bridge, and added two years onto the projected completion date, which is now set for 2030. That projected cost is now between $4.3 and $5.2 billion, after being estimated for a cost of about $1.9 billion. Gov. Wes Moore said Monday that preliminary estimates for the cost and timeline of the rebuild were made less than two weeks after the bridge collapsed in March 2024. “Since then, national economic conditions ...

The UN Security Council on Monday approved the US-backed resolution to establish an international force in Gaza. 13 countries voted in favor. Russia and China abstained. The proposal is based on US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for the Gaza Strip. US President Donald Trump confirmed today (Monday) that the US would sell advanced F-35 stealth fighter aircraft to Saudi Arabia. Israel has opposed the sale of F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. Outgoing Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer visited Washington last week, where he met with senior Trump administration officials and delivered Israel’s message on the matter. According to Kan News, Dermer reportedly made it clear that Israel fears such a sale could lead to the leak of sensitive security information to Russia and China, Saudi Arabia’s strategic partners, and could also undermine Israel’s qualitative aerial edge in the Middle East-a cornerstone of the country’s national security and regional deterrence. Trump is scheduled to meet tomorrow (Tu...
