The minyan will take place upstairs in the old house — as you face the main shul, it’s the building on the left.

A mother’s letter. A child’s fight. Shira urgently needs life-saving care. You can help - but only if we act now.
My name is Bracha, and I’m writing not only as a mother, but as someone who deeply believes in the quiet power of kindness.
My daughter Shira is a bright, tender-hearted little girl. She’s been diagnosed with leukemia — a cancer of the blood. Her eyesight has already been affected, and the emotional toll on our family has been immense.
Shira is currently receiving care in a local hospital in Poland, but doctors have urged us to transfer her to a specialized children's hospital in Vienna. There, she can receive the advanced, life-saving treatment she urgently needs.
The cost of this treatment is over $150,000 — far beyond anything we ...
Agudath Israel of America applauds the historic inclusion of the Educational Choice for Children Act (ECCA) in a draft budget document unveiled yesterday in the U.S. House of Representatives. Agudath Israel looks forward to continuing to engage members of Congress as lawmakers debate and build upon this proposal in the days and weeks ahead.
Following a model already operating successfully in more than twenty states, this game changing legislation will provide $5 billion in K-12 scholarships per year. It does this by allowing a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit for donors who contribute to Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGO). These SGOs would then provide scholarships for a range of educational expenses, including private school tuition.
Agudath Israel played a key role in the cra...
If Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar has indeed been assassinated, it would make it easier to reach a hostage and ceasefire deal, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post.
"[Mohammed] Sinwar was the most extreme figure in terms of negotiation positions for reaching a deal," the official said. "If he is out of the picture, it should ease the efforts to reach an agreement."
The assassination attempt occurred as the Israeli delegation, led by “M” from the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Coordinator for Hostages and Missing Persons, Gal Hirsch, arrived in Qatar on Tuesday evening.

Details of the conversation between US President Donald Trump and released American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander following his release from Hamas captivity were revealed on Tuesday in a report by Channel 12.
Trump opened the conversation, which was held on Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff's phone, by asking Alexander how he was and how Hamas treated him.
Alexander noted that because he was surrounded by people and cameras that he could not go into detail, but added that since Trump was elected, his conditions improved immensely.
Trump recounted to the captivity survivor how his mother pressed on him, but noted that it was ok, and that he is dying to see him at the White House.
The President also told Alexander to relax and "take it easy."

Baltimore, MD - May 13, 2025 - (TBB) New Legislation Could Transform Baltimore’s Single-Family Homes into Apartments Baltimore, MD – May 12, 2025 – A groundbreaking legislative package introduced by the Baltimore City Council, with full backing from Mayor Brandon Scott, could dramatically reshape the city’s residential landscape by allowing single-family homes to be converted into small multifamily units. Under the new proposal, properties with 1,500 to 3,000 square feet could be divided into two to four apartments — a major shift from current zoning laws that permit only single-family use in many neighborhoods. This bold initiative is part of a broader $3 billion push to revitalize Baltimore’s housing stock and address its staggering number of...
The IDF and ISA conducted a precise strike on Tuesday against Hamas terrorists in a command and control center located in an underground terrorist infrastructure site beneath the European hospital in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The strike was unusually powerful, and according to reports, the target was Mohammad Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza and the head of the Hamas militant wing.
It is currently unknown if the strike was successful.
The strike comes as US President Donald Trump kicks off his official visit to the region, addressing the US-Saudi Investment Forum in Riyadh.
According to the IDF and ISA, prior to and during the strike, numerous steps were taken to mitigate the risk of harming civilians and civilian infrastructure, including the use of precise munitions,...

The secret backchannel that led to the release of Edan Alexander began when a senior Hamas official abroad contacted Bishara Bahbah, a Palestinian-American businessman and political activist, according to two senior Israeli officials, a senior Palestinian official, and a senior American official.
This was the first step in a covert diplomatic effort involving multiple governments and intermediaries, according to the officials.
The senior Hamas figure reached out to Bahbah in April to initiate a channel to Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff. Though slow to build traction, the effort accelerated last week, a senior Israeli official said.
Over the past two weeks, approximately 20 messages—comprising texts and phone calls—were exchanged thro...
Annapolis, MD - May 13, 2025 - State officials and health care advocates worry that many Marylanders on Medicaid could lose coverage under a recent proposal from congressional Republicans that aims to cut billions in federal dollars by tightening program eligibility and other administrative hurdles.
While state officials are still determining the full scope of the GOP proposal unveiled Sunday night, they anticipate that a “significant” portion of Maryland’s 1.55 million Medicaid recipients could lose coverage under the current proposal.
“No matter how you slice it, we’re going to see the most vulnerable in our communities lose health coverage,” said U.S. Rep. Sarah Elfreth (D-3rd).
In an attempt to find $880 billion in federal savings over the n...
Baltimore, MD - May 13, 2025 - (WBALTV) Train service between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., was disrupted after a massive warehouse fire in West Baltimore forced Amtrak to temporarily shut down part of its Northeast Corridor on Monday night. The fire, which broke out at a multi-story mattress warehouse on North Bentalou Street near Edmondson Avenue, prompted Amtrak to de-energize overhead lines adjacent to the burning building and suspend service due to safety concerns.
As of Tuesday morning, Amtrak announced that service had resumed but warned travelers to expect delays of up to 20 minutes due to single-tracking through the affected area. The fire’s proximity to the tracks and its extensive underground structure complicated firefighting efforts and posed a continued risk of struc...
Baltimore, MD - May 12, 2025 - Crews are battling a 6-alarm fire in West Baltimore that broke out just before 7 p.m. Monday, according to a Baltimore City fire spokesperson.
The fire is at a multi-story mattress warehouse at North Bentalou Street and Edmondson Avenue, according to Baltimore City fire.
Some people in the 600 block of Bentalou Street will be relocated and placed in a fire station to make it easier to battle the fire, Baltimore City Fire Chief James Wallace said. The Red Cross has been requested, Wallace said.
Wallace said at 9:40 p.m. that it is still a very active situation. Wallace said there are multiple levels to the warehouse below ground, making it difficult to access.
Wallace said the fire is not under control, and that one part of the building stores ...
Israel’s ultimatum issued to Hamas regarding its agreement to the Gaza hostage deal framework remains valid until the end of US President Donald Trump’s trip to the Middle East, Israeli sources clarified in conversation with The Jerusalem Post on Monday, following a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and US Ambassador Mike Huckabee.
The meeting between the three also included a phone call between Netanyahu and the US president. “The deadline for Hamas to accept the Witkoff framework, which includes the release of 10 hostages in exchange for several weeks of a ceasefire, remains valid until the end of Trump’s visit to the region,” an Israeli source told the Post.

Baltimore, MD – May 12, 2025 – Shortly after October 7th, a young man approached this “random” rabbi on a train. “Please pray for my cousin Edan Alexander,” he asked. The rabbi agreed, and the “strangers” parted ways.
Rabbi Avner Shapiro shared this request with his class at Mesivta Toras Chaim of Baltimore. Edan has been a focus for their prayers, studies, and deeds since that day.
Today, Edan finally came home, so these amazing boys were asked to update the display. They danced and sang with joy: a brother they loved but hardly knew is finally free — and then they prayed for the return of all the hostages.
